So there are 3 main components in the total process of Affiliate Marketing to Increase Your Affiliate Commissions viz. pick products (only hot products), build blogs (only key-word rich blogs) and promote (get only targeted traffic). Are you happy? You already have the right answer, no beating around the bush!!

Some are experts at product selection and a few are good at keyword research. Both ways are good but a good keyword research combined with hot product selection will sharpen your targeted crowd selection enabling you to increase your affiliate commissions!

Expanding the product selection needs search for hot in-demand products which the people search through the targeted keywords you select. How To Find A Product to Promote?

Clickbank is a dominating digital products affiliate network. It is a market place for over 100,000 active affiliates with thousands of popular digital products where affiliates can earn up to 80% of the sale value as affiliate commissions. So you can register easily as an affiliate and select the products of your choice. There are several parameters to determine the popularity and the saleability of the products which can increase your affiliate commissions, and these factors will be explained in detail in my future post.

How To Analyze And Research Your Market?

Keyword Research is a complicated field, but it’s the basic foundation to increase your affiliate commissions. Google Adwords Keyword Tool is a free Keyword Research tool which gives you the number of total monthly searches made for your keyword and other related keywords. First try to get a name highly relevant to your product/service you are promoting, which gets more than 1500 searches per month. It’s not a hard and fast rule. You can look around that number up to 3000 searches per month.

The next step is to find out how much competition you may have to face in the Google Search Results. So go to Google Search Bar and enter that selected keywrod phrase within quotes (“your selected keyword phrase”). Writing a search term within quotes will make Google to search for that specific term you entered within quotes. Look for the keyword phrase which has number of competing pages less than 25,000. The lower the number better will be the chance for higher rank to your product name site on Google pages. So you have found a targeted keyword phrase highly relevant to your product/service. This will be your domain name around which you’ll build your site/blog to promote your online business.

Article Marketing Is Free!

Content is the king. The content is going to be the basis for your promotion of your keywords targeting your hot products. After your keyword research you have a minimum of 5 keywords around which you have to write your articles. You write short articles 300 to 400 keywords (You have Word Count facility under Tools (Main Menu Bar) in Microsoft Word ). For ex: Intro, Para 1, Para 2 and Conclusion. This will be your main article which you will later use in your marketing channels.

Your marketing channels are the tools that will become ranked high for your product name keywords in search engines.

Channel No. 1 – Your Niche/Product Name Blog

Registering Your Domain Name

Go to BlueHost.com or IPowerWeb.com and register a domain name based on your product and keyword research. Don’t register .info, .biz or any other as they are less effective for seo purposes.

Set Up Hosting

I use BlueHost which has SimpleScripts to make Wordpress Installation with latest version and quick. If you are on a tight budget you can go for Hostgator where you can pay your subscription monthly. Hostgator has Fantastico where the Wordpress installation is not as latest as Simplescripts which updates itself to upgraded revisions.

Set Up Your Wordpress Blog

Wordpress is the best versatile blogging platform and is absolutely free. Go to www.Wordpress.org and download your latest Wordpress blog version for free. You can then upload the software to your hosting server following Wordpress instructions. Then using the SimpleScripts in BlueHost or Fantastico in Hostgator you can install your blog on Wordpress.

Channel No. 2 – Your Squidoo Lens

Setting up your Squidoo lens is easy. It consists of only about 6 steps, and you’ll be done in 5 minutes or less. Squidoo has a high page rank and is loved by Google, and accordingly your lens will get this benefit.

You have to feed the content of your main article in the Squidoo lens modules.

Channel No. 3 – HubPages

You have to amend the main article used for your Squidoo lens a little bit here and there, a new Intro, reordering paragraphs and the wording – done and you have a new article! Add contents of this article to your hub in HubPages.

Adding Affiliate Links:

Insert your affiliate product links in the content of your articles. Importantly you must use the product name keyword as the anchor text. This will help you get ranked for that keyword.

HubPages doesn’t allow you to insert affiliate links into your content. You’ll have to add a “Links” capsule and then enter whatever links you want to use.

Linking Your Marketing Channels:

Now you have a 1) Wordpress Product Name Blog 2) A Product Name Squidoo Lens and 3) A Product Name HubPage. The most important thing is you must link HubPages to Squidoo Lens, Squido Lens must link to Wordpress Blog and Wordpress Blog must link to HubPages.

You have already set up a terrific traffic machine. Your Squidoo Lens and HubPages because of their high PR and Google love, will be indexed in the Search Engines soon. The next step is to get search engine rankings and grab several positions on the first page of results by building one way links from high PR sites, thus achieving Search Engine Optimization. Accumulating more links will improve your Page Rank and increasing your site’s value from a search engine’s point of view.

OnlyWire.com – Building Link Popularity

Of course OnlyWire setup needs some work from your side initially, but once you set up Onlywire by registering with all the sites it is connected with, the traffic to your blog increases, raises the Search Engine Ranking too, more importantly you’ll increase your affiliate commissions.

The next step to obtain further back-links is to submit more articles (make more copies of your main article with minor alterations) and submit them to EzineArticles, GoArticles, ArticleDashboard, ArticleBase etc. and leave links in your resource box directed to your Blog and Squidoo Lens or HubPages. Also you can have anchor text-linked keywords in your content. EzineArticles restricts affiliate links in the text and resource box.

That’s it, you have a practical formula to Increase Your Affiliate Commissions!  But you must start working on it!!
